Believe it or not it was written as a Motown song. I wrote this one with an old bandmate of mine and we tracked a demo where I even sang it falsetto. I really wish I could write and sing like the Stylistics. We were looking for more songs for this record and I showed the original demo to Dave Madden (the Producer). I always LOVED the melody, so we just changed the key and gave it a more classic rock arrangement and it works. That’s the thing about a good melody - you can do anything with it.
